Ingredients you need(roughly makes 6-7 pieces, depending on how thick you want your bread to be):
- 6 pieces of sliced wholemeal bread
- 3 fresh eggs (room temperature)
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp nutmeg
- 3/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 5ml milk
- parmesan cheese
- canola oil
- minced herbs and chives for garnish
Steps:
1: Break 3 eggs into a bowl.
2. Whisk the eggs thoroughly till it becomes a firm mixture.
3. Put in black pepper, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon to the mixture and stir. Then, pour the milk in and stir.
4. Dip each bread to the egg mixture and cover both sides of the bread.
5. Heat up your pan and put a tsp of canola oil.
6. Fry the bread till golden brown (approx 1 min each side)
7. Grate some parmesan to the toast and fry for another 20 secs.
8. Let it cool for a few minutes.
9. Garnish with minced herbs, chives and extra parmesan and serve with mustard/ranch and vegetables of your choice.
